Martin Houston has been publicly and professional speaking for over 25+ years. He is one of the most gifted, talented and anointed speakers available to come share with your organization. He has accomplished many significant achievements in sports, business and life. He has also received numerous awards for his leadership and inspiration, both on the playing field and in his post football career. Among his many accomplishments was his role as the starting fullback on the University of Alabama 1992 National Championship Team. He also signed a free-agent contract with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was a member of two SEC Championship Teams ('89 & '92). He was selected as an Academic All-SEC honoree, as well as the Sylvester Croom "Commitment to Excellence" Award Winner. He followed his football playing days with a very successful career as an Major Account Manager and Sales Manager with BellSouth/AT&T. Martin serve as the Lead Pastor of Harvest Church, a thriving Spirit-led Church in Tuscaloosa (Coker), AL.

Prior Experience:

Martin served as the co-host for The Houston and Huber, a morning sports show on the Tide 99.1. He also co-hosted "New Day Cafe" on Moody Radio South from February 2011 - March 2013.

Martin was the Founding & Lead Pastor of Catalyst Church, a multi-ethnic church in Tuscaloosa, Alabama! The church was leveled in the April 27th tornado outbreak, only 3 days after it's official launch on April 24th. After 6 months of "Leading Through Unchartered Waters", they decided to not relaunch Catalyst Church.

Martin serves on the board of Praisefest Ministries. PFM is a evangelical Christian based missions organization. PFM flagship mission "Cruise with a Cause" has been named "The World Largest Missions Trip". www.cruisewithacause.org.

Martin served various roles for Daystar Family Church, including Executive Senior Pastor, from September 2004 - July 2009. He also served as the founding Senior Pastor of University Worship Center, a local church in Tuscaloosa.

Martin is still in love with his best friend and wife of 26+ years, Cassandra Dobbins of Centre. They have 4 beautiful children - Xavier, Precious, Morgan and Simeon. They currently reside in Tuscaloosa, AL.
